Want to try playing a fretless five string, but do not want to put a lot of money into it? This is an SKB that is a couple of years old. It is in very good condition, with only a few marks, a bit of playing wear and it comes with a gig bag. The scale is 34", the nut width is 1 3/4" and the string-to-string spacing at the bridge is 3/4" (19 mm). Best of all --- it weighs only 7.5 lbs., even with the heavier bridge. It is very comfortable. It is original except for the following: * A new bridge was installed - wider string spacing, a bit more solid * The fingerboard edges were rounded-over a bit - for comfort * The fingerboard was treated with six coats of teak oil - a penetrating oil It has the original nut which was cut for the standard BEADG tuning. Currently, it is strung for EADGC tuning, without modification to the nut. It works well like this, so I did not cut a second nut. The strings are a set of LaBella flatwounds with the high C being a D'Addario Chrome Flatwound. It is a solid fun to play bass. It is set-up for a light touch. The action is set at just above 1/16" all the way across, measured at the 12th fret marker, and the relief is slight. Questions are welcome, as is Paypal. $150 shipped and insured to the continental U.S.
