Need some strings for my fretless jazz that will get growl and mwah and are not stainless steel and suggestions. Preferable low tension as well

Tomastik JF344.....to my ear, nothing sounds better on a fretless Jazz. Low tension too.

Or the round version of the above strings mentioned...

Lighter gauge Nickel Plated Steel strings or round core Nickel Plated Steel as well..

I'm thinking of going for nickel roundwounds on mine.
  7. Labella tapes are very nice on a Fender fretless Jazz.

For growl i use stainless steel DR lo-riders. Maybe its the way i dig in but i still get alot of growl when they've been worn for a good while. Maybe check out the nickels versions, might be a tad bright though! Why not stainless steel? Is it personal preference?

Daddario exl nickel, Rotosound swing66 nickel, or Dr neons would be my short list. All roundwound of course.

Jaco had pretty good results with Roto 66 Swing Bass (Stainless roundwounds)
