Got offered a late 70's fretless P bass.Price is about £375, BUT the body has had an extra PUP fitted near the bridge, a selectr switch for the PUPs and best of all Strat. vol and tone knobs ! The screws for the pick guard look like them came out of the local hardware store !
I have yet to plug it in, but unplugged it sounded Ok, but I'm just a bit cautious about these mods.Maybe its the sound that counts but....

Any views. Price sound OK ? BTW the colour is blond with a crappy pick guard. The fretboard is jet black. Oh and teh fender machine heads are lifting the chrome plating !

    Play Bass thru an amp.
If it sounds good, and plays well $375.00
    is a good price.
Or try to talk seller down a little?

GBP 375 not a bad price for a hacked fretless precision. Late 70's fretless p basses came with maple or rosewood fretboards. If it's darker (ebony, it may not be stock. Curious about the chrome lifting. Not sure what would cause that. Maybe dampness.

If it plays well, grab it. It won't appreciate like a stock model. If it's a player, so what.
