So if I'm going to play some rock on my fretless Kingston 5, I figure I'm going to need strings that have mwah to cut heads open with :D

I have set of Rotosound Swing-66 steel rounds around, I'll see how they work.. They are coarse to slide on and they'll eat the fretboard for breakfast tho, even if is coated.

TI Powerbasses perhaps? And I know EBS strings are extremely bright, too.

Update for the situation, thanks for the help guys

I decided to put on Roto nickels for starters, as Roto steels are extremely coarse. I might change them to D'Addario Slowounds or to coated strings if the Rotos don't work, or to some smooth steels if i can find any.

I'm getting the Kingsy back thursday or so, so we'll see it then.

I'm very much a TI JR344 roundwound guy. I use 'em for classic rock, blues, jazz and everything in between. Very evenly balanced, good thump and impeccable mwah.
