Fretless Fender Roscoe Beck IV - American made signature bass. Will ship in the lower 48 for $900 or you can pick it up in Portland OR for $850. No trades or lower offers will be considered. Will ship outside the U.S. on your shipping account only.

Fretless conversion by California luthier Michael Dolan. Neck is buttery smooth, very comfortable to play. Some clear-coat is missing from the top horn as pictured. Other than that, it's in very clean condition. The bass is stock other than the fretless conversion. Includes Fender hard case. Send a pm for a link to 22 pics.

This is not an effort to pontificate.
This is just my opinion but I think it's right ON.
I'd make it a "sticky" if I knew how, to help all sellers
and for the benefit of all buyers.

There are things buyers want to know.
Here's a checklist that every classified should cover:

    Instrument model
    Name of Manufacturer
    Year of Manufacture
    Nut Width
    Name of Color
List & location of dings, dents, scratches & chips, buckle rash?
    Type of case if included
Any Mods to the original bass
+ who did them, (the last owner, you, a luthier, etc)
Any Additional parts or accessories included
As many Pictures as possible -
a picture tells a thousand words
    a picture sells your bass!
How's it PLAY & SOUND? Give your opinions: eg: fast neck, plays like butter; lots of growl, boomy neck pup, etc. etc.

Thanks for listening. Good luck with the sale of this
    really beautiful bass.

This Roscoe Beck IV was built in 2005 and retailed at $2099. Weighs just under 9.6 pounds. There is no buckle rash.

Neck is an asymmetrical carve, has some beef on the thumb side but still feels slender. Nut is standard J width, 1.5".

It sounds like a J when in single coil mode and is fatter and louder when in humbucking mode (independently selectable).

This is (was) a top of the line Signature model and oozes quality. Includes Fender hard case.

Here is a link to 22 pics, they show what clean condition the bass is in. If anybody wants more detailed pics, please send a pm with and I'll try to accommodate:

Well Done Koobie! that answered any questions I had about the bass. Anybody looking for exactly that should
recognize and buy it right away - I had wondered about the
assymmetrical necks but your description was PERFECT and
now I know what to expect from these basses. Many thanks.
