Just recieved a de-fretted MIM 1960's Classic Series jazz bass with Badass bridge from TB'r "LL bassist". Sunburst. The finish on these 60's CS basses are fantastic, and the neck is a whole different animal from the MIM Standard fenders.

"LL bassist" bought it after frets had been removed, and looks like some evidence of gouges from the de-fret, but on the whole looks like they did a good job. The badass bridge seems to have different string spacing than original bridge (just off by a bit on the bass side) so we will have to see if that has any effect.

"LL bassist" had taken it to Lyrical Lumber in FL to set up and plane/sand down fretboard, and it looks like they did a fine job. I spoke to those folks before I bought the bass and they were very helpful.

Man, the action is LOW! The neck feels great. Still have to plug it in, but so far very positive.

Odd thing: the guy who defretted the bass covered up the serial number with a little brass oval that says "fretless bass". Weird.
