Hello. I'm 22 years old. I've been playing bass for a few years. I'm self taught. I don't bend my wrist and I try to play with as less pressure as possible. I know this topic has been discussed a lot of places on the internet as I already read about this a lot. but I'd like more opinions, especially from pros like you. I have two cysts as doctor told me. Only one of them is seeable. It happened more than a year ago when I worked on cruise ships playing 7 days a week 4-5 hours a day being on the ships for months. I took a long break from playing bass as my doctor told me to and tried not to use it etc was careful in general with it. I've been to more than one specialist. They only tell me not to play my instrument , tell me I can get surgery or get it drained with needle but they don't recommend either surgery or draining telling me it might cause more problems there's no guarantee. I haven't been playing bass for a long time, haven't been able to work as a bass player, can't practice as I'm scared of it getting worse. The cyst is smaller than before but I still have pain. Doctors won't really help my problem. Have you had problems alike and how did you overcome? What would you recommend me?
