I ve just replaced my old bass. I dont want to throw it away.
I heard that its possible to turn it into a frettless. What do i have to do?
How bad will it sound. (It's a horrible smick)

What kind of bass is it? If its a J or P you can buy a replacement neck from Warmoth with a fretless fingerboard already installed.

Otherwise you have to defret it yourself, which can have varying results.

If you're asking this question, let someone else do it or just buy another neck. BTW, why do you have to throw away your old bass?? Keep it!

If the finances are OK, why not keep your current bass and consider buying a fretless?
