Front Input Effects Loop

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by blipndub, Dec 7, 2004.

  1. I have recently aquired a GK1001 (thank you igloobass) and it has the effects loop inputs on the front panel. I would like to run my rack-mount compressor and my pedal board (which has my tuner & preamps, etc). Should I make big loops from the back of the compressor into the pedal board and then back into the effects in.

Last time I played i had my board going into the input but felt like I was choking the amp so I think i should be using the loop, plus I want to get my compressor into the mix.

So: Effect Loop out >compressor in > compressor out > pedal board in> Pedal Board out > Effect Loop In

Seems cumbersome and the mess of wires..., any ideas?
