In my search for simulating the sound of the DoubleBass I came across that manufacturers. They have a soundbite on their site thats amazingly upright in tone and texture. Tried emailing them but no reply. Anyone know much about these Real Basses?

  2. Hi,

One is near my home, at my former bass teacher's house, and sounds great.
It's a quilted top with cherryburst, one piece birdseye neck. Perhaps soon F/S!!
The guy stopped making basses to create and develop is own line of amps!

in answer to my own question, i got an email confirming these basses arent in production. they are spending efforts on amps. I was also told that the RealBass had a retail of around $4500! Well I can see why you wont make a living trying to pedal those. Look real cool and the they sound amazing on the site.
