    Selling my 1954 Kay M-1.

    Serial Number is 36823.

This bass is in good condition. There are some minor cosmetic wear spots, which I have done my best to captured in the pictures.

It is strung with D'Adario low tension strings, professionally set-up about two years ago by Gary Stein over at Stein on Vine.

It comes with a K&K Bass Max bridge pickup, which perfectly compliments the stringy sound of the bass by bringing out the low end warmth. I have found this setup to be great for Jazz, Latin, and a few Bluegrass gigs I have done as well.

I will also include the high quality German stand with it.

I am looking to get about $2000, but may be willing to negotiate. Would consider trading for a quality EUB + some cash.

    Cheers!

Thank you, Richie! It's a shame to let her go, but that's life.

The bass is sold to a fellow T'ber!

The Hamilton bass stand (which I paid $100 for because it is supposed to be made in Germany) is still available. Make me an offer I can't refuse! :bag:
