Hot mocha! What a snappy bass, straight neck, low action, sounds and plays exceptionally well. As far as I know, and for those who care, everything is original with the exception of a few things:

    1. First fret inlay - the bass didn't have one when I got it. I had one professionally installed, but you can tell it's fresh.
    2. The string tree is new.
    3. A couple of screws are not original (pickguard and pickup).
    4. The neck screws had stripped the wood, allowing the neck to move around. Dowels were professionally placed in the neck, and the neck is now rock steady.
    5. Additional foam was added under both pickups.

If you're looking for a collector's piece, move right along.
If you're looking for a slammin player's jazz bass, it's right here. I personally love the combination of the northern ash and rosewood board. There's a focus to the notes that I feel you don't get with your typical 70's maple board. But that's just me and how my fingers behave.

I'll get it on a more accurate scale soon, but I'm guessing 10ish. No case, I'll send it in a gig bag.

Asking $1600 shipped. I'm going to leave this up for sale just until the beginning of next week. If it hasn't sold by then, I'll keep it. I may relist it at some later time. Thanks for looking!

Does the tone knob look like the same size as the volume knobs?

I'm in Burbank and would love to check it out. Questions... FOr the neck dowels, were toothpicks used or hardwood/glued dowels? For the inlay was is recessed and glued in with clear coat placed over it? Would like to see a close up pic of first fret with inlay. Thanks. Jay
