Up for sale. Very nice 1980 Ibanez Blazer. This model is unique because of the headstock, pickup and bullet truss rod adjustment. This is an authentic Japanese Ibanez bass just not one you see very often.

As you can see I remove the original pickup which was very noisy and somewhat muddy and installed a Delano SBC4 HE/S. While I was at it I replaced the volume and tone pots, output jack and threw in an Orange drop tone cap. Now it is dead quiet with a clean powerful sound. Very similar to a P bass but better IMO of course.

So this guy is up for sale. Some details.

    -Made in Japan 1980
    -Delano SBC4 HE/S Pickup
    -Wired V/T
    -Cool-guy Heart shaped tuners
-Original hardshell case (beatup but functional for shipping)
    -Just under 9 lbs
    -1 5/8" at the nut.
-Wearing a brand new set of strings, can include some old flats that came with the bass.
    -Mucho Mojo
-Original Brass knobs and pickup/pickup mount included.

There is some finish wear and a ding on the headstock. No real big dings or gouges anywhere. Neck and frets are in very good shape and the neck edge has that smooth rounded feel to it. Plays and feels like an old but not heavy p bass. Actually maybe closer to an older Yamaha BB.

Had to sand the pickguard and the cavity maybe 1 mm total to fit the new pickup but the bass can be returned to it's original noisy condition if for some reason you wanted to.

Sell for [DEL]$475[/DEL] $425 shipped CONUS OBO

Very cool, never seen one of these before! Love the brown & maple combo, and those look like super-clean frets. Good luck with the sale!

Forgot to mention this is a one piece maple neck, meaning the fret board and neck are one. And it is rock solid. Hasn't budged on me.
