I really, really like this thing, but it's getting very little use since I picked up my SR5. After a lot of thought, it's time to find it a new home!

1998 Warwick FNA four string, wenge/wenge neck, very good condition. Has an swamp ash body with a figured maple cap, finished in transparent satin burgundy red. A few minor playing marks, that's all. Includes a high-end Warwick soft case and Dunlop Straplock ends. Currently strung with a new set of Steve Harris sig Rotosound flats.

I don't know why Warwick stopped making these - the big MusicMan style humbucker in the sweet spot makes for fantastic tone! The four has a much better pickup position than the five, IMO. Has active EQ. Warwick's page on these basses can be found here.

Price lowered again to $625 plus shipping at cost - will be professionally boxed in new materials by a local shipper.

    Thanks for looking!

Bump for a great bass. I used to own one of these and if I had about $300.00 more in my bass fund I'd buy it. It looks exactly like the one that I sold about three years ago. I agree about the FNA4 vs FNA5, I have owned both and the five did nothing for me but the four was a great bass.

Thanks, guys. I was shocked by how different these FNAs sound from most other Warwicks, and fell in love with the tone. Maybe I'll get a FNA 5 some day, but probably not - the pickup placement is a large part of the magic, I think.

Ahh... yet another Warwick hitting the road cuz a MM took it's place. :) If I didn't play MM basses I'd play a Warwick. Great bass and price so I figgered I'd give you another bump.

Hey keith, did you notice the gold hardware? It's sooo purdy, isn't it? ANd warwicks have the greatest action. I bet that thing's just heaven to play. :smug:

I'll give this one a bump too. If I didn't already own a sweet Warwick Corvette 4, I'd have considered this one. $650 for a bass of this caliber is a sweet deal. Don't let this one pass you buy. A Warwick is a terrible thing to waste.

I'm confused, is this bass going for 650, or 750? :bag:

It was listed at $850, and dropped to $750. I just edited my earlier posts to clarify - I can see where you were coming from!
