    TWO BASSES FOR SALE ....

(I don't think you'll find two better basses for the price!)

    Bass #1:
    MTD SARATOGA 4-STRING BASS
    $500
shipped & insured (CONUS only, PayPal please)

In excellent condition, I don't see any marks on it. Awesome tone-monster.

Original Saratoga basses don't show up often and are very well-made. Great-looking bass (photos below). MIK.

    • Carved basswood body; thick Amber Flame Maple Top
    • Asymmetrical, one-piece Maple Neck; Maple Fretboard
    • Buzz Feiten Tuning System
    • MTD Quick Release Bridge
    • 2 passive, single coil Jazz pickups
    * Volume, Blend, Concentric Bass/Treble, Active Circuit
    • 3 Way Mid Switch
    • 34-inch scale
    • 24 medium jumbo frets
    • Replaced the E-string tuner with a Hipshot Detuner; will include original machine with sale.
    • Weighs 8 lbs.

Ships in a new Protec Deluxe Gig Bag (these are great bags!)

    Bass #2:
STERLING (by Musicman) S.U.B. SB4 BASS
    $285
shipped and insured (CONUS only, PayPal please)

Basically new, the pickguard still has the plastic on it! I was completely surprised by this bass, the quality and the playability are far beyond what it costs. Fantastic bass.

    • 2 Band active preamp
    • Humbucking bass pickup
    • Smaller, slimmer body
    • 34" Scale
    • Maple Fretboard
    • Black hardware
    • Weighs in at less than 8.5 lbs

I swapped out the stock pickup for a Guitar Fetish GFS MM Pro Plus Alcino Pickup - it sounds great! Professionaly installed.
A swapped the original E-tuner for a Hipshot Detuner.
I will include both the original tuner and pickup in the sale.

Ships in a nice Levy's Gig Bag that is in great shape.
    (Photos below)

    I'm not looking for trades.
IMO, these are pretty fair prices; but make me an offer, the worst I can say us "no".
    PayPal only please.
Shipping is CONUS only, insurance included.
    Thanks!

    Both basses still available!

  5. Once more to the top of the pile!

  6. Bump?

  7. PRICES LOWERED...
    BUMP!!
    $500 and $285!!

  8. I've never played an MTD - but am SERIOUSLY tempted to buy this one. I like Ibanez and ESP profile necks - pretty slim. More jazz-ish than precision-ish :) Can you describe the neck profile for me?

I have 3 MTDs, including a Saratoga...they have they asymmetrical neck which is a dream to play! I play nothing else any more.

  10. As said above, these are very comfy necks. I've always felt that the neck is slim while maintaining a substantial feeling. Thanks.

  11. Bump

  12. Thanks - so no damage, how thick is the maple top?

  13. sorry - one more question, string spacing at the 'nut' and bridge?

  14. Have to give me a few hours - when I get home I will check .
I know string spacing at bridge is 19mm.

  15. Ok thanks - any update?

  16. Hey - is this still for sale? Still looking for string spacing measurement at the nut - thanks!
