    - SOLD - For sale is my 2011 Dingwall Combustion version 2 5-string in mouth-watering Candy Tangerine with matching headstock, maple fingerboard, white pearloid pickguard, Dunlop straplocks and Payson stainless steel strings (I'll also include the factory strings). No nicks, dings or marks of any kind, non-smoking, etc.

This is a great-sounding and great-playing bass (and obviously from the photos, great looking!). I've gigged with it twice and gotten compliments about the tone and look from band members, sound guys and audience. Currently I don't have much call for a 5-string which is why I'm selling it.

The Candy Tangerine finish was a special limited run, and even fewer of those got a matching headstock. I'll post more pics below. Price is $1085 including shipping to CONUS. Sorry, no trades.

  5. I have one of these in white and I actually like it more than the Afterburner that I owned. I wish I had the scratch to buy this one too!

Could you explain the v2 model as I am not familiar with it. Thanks!

This bass is absolutely killing me, especially as I am thinning the herd at the moment.

I see on the Dingwall site that these have different necks than the Afterburners. How would you compare the "D" shape that these have with the Afterburner neck shape?

I've not played an Afterburner so I can't comment on that. All I can say is the neck's like buttah! Maybe you could pm brian v2.0 who made this comparison a few posts above:

  16. Wish I had that amount to burn on trying a fanned fret bass(probably would like it too).:( A "One of my fav color/pickgaurd combos" Bump.

    Thanks for da bump.

The fanned frets really don't take much getting used to at all (as you've probably read countless times if you've looked into Dingwalls).
