    1957 Re-Issue American Precision bass (2012).

I have owned this bass for about a year and am the original owner.

This bass plays and sounds amazing. Setup is nice and comes strung with DR Legends.

This bass was listed on here before. I pulled the ad to have all the original 57 stock parts professionally re-installed (strap buttons and pickup).

There are a few minor beauty dings on this bass. They are all too small to show in a picture.
A tiny piece of the 'D' on the headstock is scratched and there are a few minor scratches by the output jack. There is also a small scratch by the strap button.

    All original case candy included

Remember this bass is finished in lacquer and is very easy to scratch.

Other than that this thing is a stunning.

Price is $1075 shipped Conus only.
Ships in vintage tweed case (excellent condition)

    I will take Pay Pal.

Please do not make any trade offers, I am only interested in cash.

The weight is approx. 8.6 lbs on my bathroom scale.

The lightest Fender I have ever owned.

You mentioned that you had other pickups put in the bass in the past. kind of pickup did you take out of this? Do you still have it as well as the stock pickup you had reinstalled? What other "stock" parts were removed and then re-installed?

I had the original 57 pick up swapped out for a 62.

The 62 has been taken out and the 57 re-installed.

I also had strap locks installed on the bass when I purchased it. I have since had the original strap buttons that came with the bass re-installed.

So the bass is back to complete stock condition.

what was the sonic difference between the 2 different pickups? Do you still have the 62's ?

The 57 has a little more clarity. There seems to be slightly more highs.

The 62 has a little more midrange presence and is ever so slightly warmer.

Both sound really nice in this bass.

I still have the 62 pickup.

Met with Sean. What a pleasure....great guy and great bass. It is as close to mint as I have ever seen. Still thinking about it and may make a move. The neck is a little wider that I like (I am sure that it was made to the specs of the 57 neck)... I'm used to a little bit narrower neck. Bass sounded GREAT.
