    sonic blue
    white pearloid pickguard
    seymour duncan quarter pounder pickups.
    plays like butter and roars!

    what model Precision is it? an american, standard...?

    that is definately an american standard.

    It cant be an american series because they werent out in '96. It cant be american deluxe since it doesnt have a bridge humbucker. It cant be anything else since it is mia or Made in America. Therefore, by process or elimination, it is a:

    Fender American Standard Precision Bass.
    The American Standard series is the predecessor to the new American series, which came out in summer 2000. It is the regular bass with no extra frills, and made in America.

    by the way, where did you take it to get it refinished sonic blue? I wanna refinish my P bass in Daphne Blue. Sorry I dont wanna buy yours... :(
