  1. S O L D ! ! ! ! ! !

I have never seen one of these used anywhere but here it is.....I found out a couple of weeks ago (and confirmed it today) that I have a degenerative bone disease in my lumbar spine area (L3, L4, and L5) of my back and will HAVE to lighten my load and cut out a lot of lifting!! I am DEFINITELY going to get another Accugroove (most likely a TRI 210 but I have not ruled out the TRI112).....

I bought this El Whappo cab about 4 months ago and have raved about it here and everywhere ever since!! This cab is essentially in BRAND NEW shape and is THE BEST SINGLE CAB I HAVE EVER HEARD, PERIOD!!!...it has been covered with the Accugroove cover that I purchased with it when not in use and has been babied because I knew I was going to get Jan-Al Cases to make a road case for me when I went out on this latest tour....due to the back problems and a fire last night that destroyed most of my gear (and a lot of other people's as well) I am not sure if I can make the tour or not....

there is a thread about it here if interested :

I talked to Mark today about getting a cab and asked him about what to offer this cab for and he suggested around $1300.00 for the cab. I know that you can get a new one for $1519.00 from a dealer and since mine is essentially new I will sell mine for 1300.00 (SHIPPED!! requires freght!!) Including the $119.00 cover at no charge and Insured Standard Freight to the Lower 48 ONLY.......It will ship In the original box and packing with the casters and cover that came with it.

    Specs HERE:

No Trades......I will need the cash to replace my gear!!

I will only accept A Major Bank Cashier's Check or Money Order and I will wait until funds clear to ship. (Usually 1 or 2 business days)......Shipping will be done from a friend's Postal Plus Shipping store so it will be packaged correctly.....

If you have any questions, please PM me or post them here....

    Thanks for looking! God Bless....

    sorry to hear that.
been dealing with it for a few years so i have plenty of experience and advice for what works (for me) for alleviating symptoms and improving condition. mine's actually getting better, something all of the docs have told me does not happen.
    good luck with the sale.
  4. Thanks guys, got a couple nibbles on the EW but still available as of right now.....

  5. You know that we both absolutely agree on this. Now... someone in the lower 48 snap this up quick so that I don't have to contemplate an 8-hour drive each way to pick this up.

If you can drive from Ottawa to Northern VA in 8 hours then you drive really fast! I just drove to Ottawa in 12 hours and the return was 14 (real slow at the border). Anyway I think you should come and get this cab anyway.
  7. getting ready to reply to PM's got a LOT of bites so it may be gone shortly....jump now if you're interested.....

Never let a conventional doctor tell you that you "cant". Get with a good physical theropist, they'll show you how to build muscle around that area of the spine to make up for the degeneration of bone. Also if you choose to try the "extra Calcium" route to help try to slow down the degeneration, remember to also take an equal dose of Magnesium, as without it Calcium is pretty worthless...

I hope things get better, good luck to you!
  9. Derakh Djinn.....very good advice....I was recently working with a physical therapist who actually stopped my treatment when he noticed that I was not responding as I should......probably saved me from a lot more damage down the line, it was he who essentially told me that he did not think my hip was the problem but that it was nerve related (no reflex response at all in my right knee) and had me get checked out by another orthopaedist who confirmed it and sent me for the MRI and the upcoming visits to the neurologist and back specialist.....I think I am about to start a high CAlcium regimen as part of my treatment, they have advised that I wait until all the testing is done, but I feel certain that will be part of my ongoing treatment.....Thank you for taking the time!!

  10. You know, it's been a long time since I've been down that way. I spent more than a few summers in Gettysburg in the late '70s (civil war re-enactment), and then just hangin' in Ellicott City, so I'd forgotten exactly how far it really was. Why is that Interstate through Northern VA S-O-O sleepy?

Anyhow... someone PLEASE support Tom and save me a very long drive. :help:

oh man, tommy... that's awful news. :(

if anything, a nice pair of Tr112's might get you closer to the El sound than the 210's, no?
  12. joker...its funny I was thinking about that same thing earlier today!! I am considering a pair of TRI 112's because they may actually be better for me to move at the lower weight but still give me a Whappo Jr sound!! I am almost sold on the idea...

Joker might be right. I lifted and tried a triT112L recently and it's light as a feather. Haven't tried two but have been told it's quite impressive. I've got a Tri210L coming (tens  ) but I'm looking for a smaller/med one cab solution and... it's got casters which is great for me ... but... 57lbs. I believe the 112 is 37 each. Best of good fortune to you .. know you could use some.
  14. Big String.....The more I think about it, the more I am leaning that way....use one for the smaller gigs and both when necessary....I think I am sold.....I believe the 2 together will give me more of the Whappo sound to boot and I know YOU know how good THAT is!!! :) LOL!!

Thanks for the kind words too!!

  15. Cool, I will report on my TRi210L if you haven't made a buy yet, but it won't be for a few weeks before I'll know. Not much can compare to EW true.
  16. I just read your "loss" thread. I barely made it past the vintage Fenders before I started to tear up and at the end I was just :bawl:

All that gear sounded like Heaven on Earth. I can only think it will be waiting for you up there. At least you got something to look forward to. Almost makes dying worth it. I kid though. Approx. how much is the 20% that insurance doesn't cover?

Best wishes on your hunt for gear and to your health.

  17. I am still trying to sort it all out because I keep remembering things that were there and so far I am probably looking at 60K plus out of MY pocket...OUCH!!

  18. El Whappo is sold pending payment....thanks for looking!!
