    Aguilar DB750 with Telefenken Tube Swap...

    Did you know that I knew that you knew about the Aguilar DB750 that runs at 750 watts @ 4 ohms, 975 watts @ 2 ohms?

    OK, but did you know how much tighter the low end can be with all that toroidal powered thickness by rolling out the stock tubes...?

    Amp has Telefunken 12AX7s in the V1, V2 and V3 positions and an EH 12AU7 in V4...

    This amp now has much more clarity and instead of the sometimes flabby low end it has a remarkable tight punch that makes this one of the best hybrid amps out there...

    These are selling on the Bay for $1399 average price without the tube swap...I am listing for $1375 plus shipping to see if I can keep this in the family and not fill eBay's coffers...:spit:

    There are 3, Yes three ads in the "wanted" forum for a DB7850. You should check it out.

    I will never sell my DB750.:rollno:

    As far as I've seen you are below typical market pricing. If I didn't have one I would be all over this one. Especially with all the Tele's in there. The cheapest I've ever bought a used Telefunken 12AX7 was $25 and that was over 8 years ago. :eek:

    Wow, and this is one of the later ones with the thicker face plate and heavier duty handles. NICE!
