Up for sale is kind of a rare beast... an ARIA PRO SB1000-JT. This is the model, made in Japan around 2004, that was designed in collaboration with John Taylor of Duran Duran and Power Station fame.
It's part of their "Super Grade Series".

The differences from the standard model seem to be the black hardware, mostly. Speaking of that, the original bridge wasn't working to allow the action low enough, so it was replaced with a Hipshot A brass and that fixed the issue.

It's in really good shape, very little in the way of wear to speak of. Signs of playing, but no damage.

Ash body, in the "Oak" colored finish
    Maple/Mahogany 5 ply neck thru
Ebony 24 fret fingerboard, 40mm brass nut
    Gotoh tuners
    MB-1E pickup
Vol-Tone-6way rotary, with LED indicator, 18v preamp
    Schaller straplock buttons
    Weighs 10-11 lbs, approx.
Includes the documentation shown above, it's in Japanese!
    Ritter gig bag

    $820 shipped SOLD
    Paypal or Money order only
PM with questions or make me an offer.

TRADES WELCOMED! In search of (but not limited to):
Musicman USA, prefer pre-94, but open to suggestions
    MIJ Ibanez
Warwick MIG, the older, the better
    Fender MIA or MIJ
    G&L
    Washburn Status
I'd do +/- cash for the right deal, just ask.

Hey just stumbled on this listing. How cool?!

As the resident TB community designated Matsumoku expert up here, these basses are the Holy Grail and I don't mean to be irreverent. The SB1000 is THE bass that gave me the collecting bug let along the Matsumoku bug.

This model is the crown jewel. And while this is not a dead on replica of the original it is pretty darn close and the fact that it is a John Taylor model makes it more than worth the price to a Duranie like myself. Heck, people paid more than this for a cheap and cheesy JT signature peavy bass sold at Nieman Marcus just a few years ago. When you can have THE bass sound of RIO and Seven and the Ragged Tiger for the same price or less, and own a piece of history (this artist signature model came out around when JT reunited with the Fab Five in the early and roaring aughts), how could you turn that down?!

Big, strong, healthy, enthusiastic resident TB Matusmoku-guy bump from yours truly.

Oh, and Adam is hands down the best TBer there is whether you are buying, selling, trading, etc. and I say that from experience cuz I have bought from him and he knows his stuff.

In other words, cool listing, GLWTS, this won't be here long!

Looks like this is open game again.
I'd like to sell it, honestly, because there's a ton of cool stuff out there. But I'll do the right trade, +/- cash as needed.
