FS – Black Epiphone Jack Casady w/OHSC

Black Epiphone Jack Casady signature bass w/OHSC. A while back I made a promise to my wife that if a new bass comes into the house an existing one must leave the house. I’m cool with that. My short-scales have been getting all of my attention lately and since another one is on the way I guess the Casady must go. Bass is in excellent condition. Strung with Fender flats, professionally set-up and plays great. White pick-guard w/o “e” decal is not shown in photo but is on the bass now. All of the electronics work as they should; pots have always been a bit scratchy. Need $495 shipped to CONUS. I have a 100% rating on eBay with fifty transactions. Feel free to check out my feedback under the same name if you have any concerns. Money order, check or PayPal.

The screw hole for the pickguard. Of course with the pickguard back on that cannot be seen. You really could not see it before but it's the way the sun hit it in the photo.

Free bump. Can't believe this is still here at this price (with HSC included). I'd buy it myself if I didn't already have one.

BTW, kudos for taking off the pickguard -- IMHO they look way better without it. First thing I did when I got mine!

No doubt. These basses kick ass, look cool and do not feedback. Solid, solid tone. A real P-Bass killer if you ask me.

Casady's are fantastic playing 34" scale basses with huge tone, a lot of variety, and serious coolness... This is a good deal folks!

Hi, nice looking bass. I own a 97 sunburst one, but the other day I went in to a store and played a newer gold one, and was blown away that the neck was not as fat as the 97. I know the stats were never different but such is the case,

Is this a "2nd" or "used"?

Are the notes above the 12th fret on the E & A string "plinky"?

What is the neck depth like on this one?

Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions as it's hard to buy a bass without playing it.

    Regards.

Calexia, I received this new as part in barter for designing the HVAC, plumbing & electrical services for a friend's new music store in 2005. It is not used or a second. The notes above the 12th fret are not "plinky" but I do have Fender SS flats on it. I will throw in a new set of these strings. I have never noticed any neck dive; it has always been very comfortable. Never been out of the studio. The only reason I am parting with it is because I limit myself on the number of basses I possess. I have a plate and four screws in my left wrist from a severe compression fracture and I recently discovered that short scale basses are much more comfortable for me to play. You would be hard pressed to find a better Casady for the money. Let me know what you think.
