  1. I acquired this bass on a trade from Dan Horboychuk. Here's the original thread from a year ago:

It's been sitting since the new year... I really have no use for fretted basses so it's time to put it on the block.

    From the original post:

"And according to Kevin Brubaker it's an early prototype with unique pickup spacing. The electronics are active Duncan Basslines, it also has a 2tek bridge and chrome hardware. It has a stunning figured top on it and the very cool Brubaker deep set bolt on neck. Bass has a couple of chips in the headstock but still is a head turner. Comes with hard shell that's pretty worn."

It's 34 1/2 inch scale as best I can measure it. Spacing is 17mm. 9v electronics. If you want to reach out to Brubaker for more info, it's numbered 9610 on the back of the headstock.

With the 2tek bridge, this bass has a great punchy tone. It's got a really wide range from soft finger picking all the way to full out slap and pop. (Sorry I don't have easy access to recording equipment atm.)

Here are some pics from my phone:

Wow, spacing is tight for me or I'd be giving Spencer some competition for this! Great looking bass!
