    Price Dropped!

This Cort Artisan A5 is in 100% mint condition! But it has been played a few times in my studio, so technically it is "used".

This is a fantastic bass. The neck is ultra-narrow, the action is low, the neck is fast, and it's well balanced so the head dosen't dive. Its pretty much everything a finger player could want. The brass nut and solid neck give it a ton of tone.

The pickups and EQ are great. You can dial in nearly anything you want to hear on the bass with the pickup selector and Bass/Mid/Treble cut/boost knobs-- it can fit almost any sound. From muted, jazz style sounds to hot rock-- it works well in any situation. The pickups are hum-free Bartolini soapbars.

    Couple questions:

    Ballpark weight?
    String spacing at the bridge?
What does the switch do - is that the EQ on/off?

It weighs 9 lbs and is very well balanced and comfortable.

String spacing, from center string to center string: 1/2" at bridge
The somewhat tight string spacing makes this bass very comfortable and easy to play for people who are used to only 4 strings.

As you guessed, the switch lets you bypass the EQ. This is especially handy if your battery goes dead in the middle of a performance. Otherwise, I just leave it on all the time because all the knobs except the volume have a notch at 0 making it easy to find the spot with no EQ cut or boost. To stop the battery from being drained when not in use, just unplug the cable to the amp.

The controls are: volume, pickup blend (pan), low cut/boost, mid cut/boost, and bass cut/boost.

Bump for a lot of bass for the money. One of the few basses ive owned and havent sold. Im pretty sure that these are made in the same factory as lakland skylines. Can anyone verify that?

Before putting this on the baystore, I've decided to try dropping the price and including a freebie...

Now only $475, including free case (a $130 bonus)!!!

(Price changed above to avoid confusion.)

That's one heckuva deal. I played a B4 and it was awesome, I'd imagine the A series sounds even better!

I really need $$$ more than I need more equipment, but if you have something to trade, plus some cash, I'll consider it.

Send me a PM with your offer.
