Hey, Fellow TBers! I've decided to sell my Elrick US-made New Jazz Standard. I already have an Elrick 5-string and this bass isn't getting much love. If you're looking at this, you're likely already familiar with these amazing instruments. This bass has a 34 inch scale, beautiful swamp ash body, 3-piece maple neck with wenge fretboard. Electronics are Elrick's standard Bartolini package with 3-band eq, 3-position mid selector and active/passive switch. Bass weighs around 8 pounds, according to my reasonably accurate bathroom scale. Also included is a like-new Elrick zero-gravity case and all case candy (wrenches and strap locks). This bass is in "like new" condition. There are no significant dings or scratches anywhere on it! All functions, truss rod, etc. work perfectly. Asking $1350, which includes shipping to the CONUS. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or PM me.

Wow, that looks like the bass I bought new from Bass NW a couple of years ago. It was a great bass. I don't believe there is another builder who is any better than Rob, fit and finish + attention to detail are second to none.

Yes, Tim, it's the same bass. I traced its pedigree before I bought it from LAG. I agree about Rob's attention to detail and fit/finish. His bases certainly rival those "butterfly" models, and he's a one-man shop! Also, this bass is probably in the same condition you received it from Bass NW. Thanks!

Doc, you're positive this is 34" scale? All other NJS basses are 35".
If is is 35", I might be interested

Yes, this is definitely a 34" scale. Rob's 4-string NJS and Expats are all 34".

  13. I have a U.S. made New Jazz Standard four-string fretless that has a 35" scale length sitting here right next to me. It is a lovely instrument...

Hi, GregoryC. I'm pretty sure Rob will make any scale you like. My first Elrick was an "Evolution Gold JJ" 4-string with a 35" scale.
