    SOLD SOLD SOLD

Another Price Drop! - $375 + shipping from Florida

PRICE DROP! $400, taking cash and trade offers -- fretless 4 or a different 5er, depending ...

    UPDATE: pix here - http://betweenthegrooves.wordpress.com/2009/05/06/80s-fender-jazzjazz-special-fretless/

Selling, or possibly trading, my Jazz/Jazz Fretless Frankenbass . Neck is an MIJ Fender Jazz Special (serial No. E742888), and body is a Fender Jazz (Made in Mexico, says the original owner). Both are likely mid-'80s, probably 84-86.

Black with white pickguard. Rosewood fingerboard. Smooth playing, and nice mid-range sound. Very clean, with just a few small scratches. Original pickups. No mechanical issues.

Not sure where prices are going on this, but I'm looking for $500 or so. Possibly interested in fretless trades.

Selling it to scare up some $$ for a different fretless.

    I will post pix soon.

I purchased this about five years ago, but I don't know its entire history.

    Thanks, Yello from Tampa!
Not sure why there's so little interest in this fretless. It's a nice sounding bass, in good condition and, with the price reduction it's available at a good price.
    Maybe because it's a hybrid?
Maybe because fretlesses are harder to move, period?
Maybe because nobody has much money lately?
    Maybe all three.

so maybe I should try to unload my cherry red ES 335 copy guitar and Vox gtr amp instead? I'm not much of a guitar player, anyway, and I'm trying to scare up some $$ for a bass purchase.

Lots of views, and a few nibbles, but ... Still available.

For limited time , $375 shipped to CONUS.

Where else are you going to find a Fender FRETLESS Jazz that plays this well and sounds so good for under $400?
