Hi all: I've got a hot-rodded parts Jazz bass that I need to sell to help cover the costs of a new purchase. I've got about $1,750.00 into it but I know that I can't ask anything close to that. Here's what's in it and what the parts cost: Warmoth Jazz Body: $455.00 Warmoth Maple Neck: $203.00 Fender Style Tuners: $80.00 Badass II Bridge: $80.00 Aguilar OBP-3 Pre-Amp: $141.00 Nordstrand Precision Pickup: $139.00 Ernie Ball Musicman Pickup: $149.00 Custom Wood Knobs: $80.00 Assembly/Set-Up: $300.00 Total: $1,627.00 plus taxes, shipping etc... About $1,750.00 Do you think I'd be better off parting it out or offering it for sale here at $1,000.00 to see what happens? The photo doesn't show the wood knobs. The bass is in absolute mint shape and looks beautiful. One other thing... The body has been finished on both sides unlike most Warmoth bodies that are only finished on the front. I'm in Toronto so if anyone here wants to see it in person you're more that welcome to drop by. If anyone wants any additional photos just let me know and I'll post them. Thanks, looking forard to your input!
Very interesting specs, I can see why you chose them. Since this is a one of a kind bass, I wonder if sound clips would help.
A bass that nice looking deserves bigger better pictures. You should put some pictures up on a hosting site and link them here.
Point taken! Here are some better photos: {} {} {} {} {} Please let me know if anyone would like another angle! BTW,the body has been made of Swamp Ash and has a quilted maple top!
Unfortunately, I'm not set up to provide sound clips... Yep, my computer is ancient and I don't have the hardware / software. SORRY!
