Alright, I'm not sure about this, but I wanted to test the waters. This is a Reverend Rumblefish 5L. The one thing particularly unique about it is that it has a prototype stained neck...I was told that only three were ever made like this...case is NOT included. The bass sounds really good.

Ask any questions. I really have no idea what to ask for this. So I'm going to start it $20,000 and we'll work down from there :D

    PRICE DROP!! - $1000.00

Anyway, here's some pics...sorry for some of the blur:

All 5 of the Reverends I've owned have a vintage tinted neck.

Can you tell us anything about the condition of the instrument? It's hard to put a price tag on it, as you've not wrapped too many words around its age, cosmetics, function etc.

    thanks,

Cool. I may have misunderstood Steve Yankee when he was telling me about the neck...anyway...

It's in great shape...there's a small scuff on the outside of the body near the peg on the bridge side of the bass. I'll try and post a picture here soon...very small. Other than that it's perfect.

  8. Why misunderstood? Seems like a perfectly believable explanation to me. Is the neck color in your pics accurate?

It looks way darker than any of the Rev instruments I've owned (or still do own).

Interesting Rev factoid, thanks for sharing.

Chef said that all of his Rev's have the same color neck...so I was just saying that I may have misunderstood what Steve told me about there being only three of those necks floating around out there...sounds like there's more...

Well, I guess it's possible that Chef was telling stories...

I've never seen any other Rev's with that neck color, but who knows?

  14. Chef knows his fish. But.......IMHO, yours looks darker. Also, it's a bit hard to see the exact color, etc. in your photos.

Yeah..I'm gonna go with mine being darker. Just because I feel like it. I know my personal fish.

Not sure I can spring for your ca-ching, but I'll ask anyway as I'm interested in this axe and am a bit "fishignorant"; What's the control config on the "fish". Is that pickup selector switch and then tone / vol, or something else.

    Appreciate the info.

yeah. one is volume and the other is tone. three way switch pickup selector:

    UP =both pickups in parallel,
MIDDLE = neck pickup alone (true single-coil with noise),
DOWN = both pickups in series (as one large humbucker)
