For sale is a Fender Classic 50's Precision bass in honey blonde with vintage style Fender black tolex hard shell case. Pickups have been swapped to 2012 American Standard Custom Shop. CTS pots and Switchcraft jack. Parchment American Standard Precision pickguard. Strings are Labella deep Talkin 45-105. First off, this is a players bass. It contains the swirling and scratches that accompany it but are hard to photo due to color. Some paint has chipped away where the pickguard screws in around the cavity but isn't visible from outside. It has been drilled for both pickup and ashtray bridge covers in the correct places. Cap has been swapped from a .1uf to a .047uf and I personally think its better this way, but it can be changed to stock value if requested. The D string tuner is a bit stiff but can probably be adjusted or greased. I'd rate the body a 7/8 on a 1-10 scale of wear. Playability wise, Its fantastic. Low action and no excessive buzzing. Truss rod is good and neck is not twisted or warped. It's a vintage tone machine. Thick, old school tone with the CS pickups and Labella flats. I always get compliments on its playability and tone from other players who try it. The case is a vintage style Fender black tolex with red plush lining. I purchased it in 2013. Has a few marks but is structurally sound and still in great shape. The bass isn't a boat anchor. I would say its between 8/9lbs max. I don't like heavy basses. That's basically it in a nutshell. What you see is what you get. I would most certainly be keeping it if it weren't redundant at this point, as I recently got another Precision bass. Sounds great and plays great. This would be the perfect bass for anyone looking to add a solid, vintage style Precision to their stable for much less than a new one. Anyone that owns a Classic 50's can testify to their quality. These features cannot be found on another Precision at this price, which is $749 new and doesn't come with a Fender hard shell case! This is strictly to sell or acquire another bass so any trades would have to include shipping or add cash for me to send it out. Its my backup bass and yes, I know Ill regret selling it (this is the third 50's P Ive owned) so I'm in no huge rush to sell below the the posted price. Im interested in jazz basses or anything different from a Precision! Lets see what you got Price: $575 PRICE DROP PRICE DROP!!: $450 shipped in CONUS via Paypal!
