Up for sale: a beautiful Fender Jazz Fretless 4, vintage 2003/2004, with some nice upgrades:

    - J-retro preamp
    - Bartolini Pickups
    - Copper Shielding job
    - BassMute
    - Dunlop Straploc pins (I'll toss the strap part into the gig bag pocket)

Currently has a set of TI-Flats on it.
    Comes with a Ritter Gigbag.

Great Mwahhh. Really low action and TI Flats to make even more mwaaahhhh.

The J-retro gives it all kinds of new voicing. This preamp has a 9v battery, Volume/Blend stack, Treble/Bass Boost/Cut Stack with High High pull-up, Mid Boost/Cut and Mid-Freq range stack, Passive Mode and Blend switches for that dark day when your battery runs out middle of a song!

The Bartolini pickups give a whole lot more clarity than the originals. Combined with the J-retro, and this bass gobs of amazing usable tone.

The TI-flats bring amazing warmth and roundness, but to get real in your face presence, switch back to round wounds.

The bass mute is kind of neat, but in the end I hardly used it. Original Pbass and Jbasses had built in mutes installed in the ashtray covers. (Don't like the muted sound? Remove the ashtray!) This gadget is a mechanical thing that has 3 positions, no mute, a little mute, and more mute. It works by pressing foam fingers onto the base end of the strings. Great if you are searching for the Upright sound, and need to control the sustain this bass has naturally. It's installed right in front of the bridge.

This bass looks great, with no neck dings, and only minor body dings. In fact, I can only see one. A little discoloration where the original sticker was on the pick guard, and a little discoloration on the back side of the headstock where the original store put their sticker.

Neck is true and straight. Playability is top notch.

Asking [DEL]$700[/DEL] $600 shipped in the US. Paypal OK.

    Price drop!

Bump! Two months, and not a bite. Hit me up! The J-retro preamp is $300 new, and the Bart Pickups are another $100 or so. And they are already installed, saving you another $100. This is a steal at $600!

Time for you to take the plunge into the fretless world! The notes are the same, the strings are the same, the rhythm is the same, the rumble and growl through a 900 watt amp is the same, but the Tone and the Mwahhh and the Soul are a whole new world.

Buy this bass and step into that world!
