FS: Fender Jazz V Standard

Fender Jazz Bass - MIM Midnight Wine metallic 5 string in excellent condition.

Serial # indicates a 99-00 model that I purchased new from dealer this January '03.

No dings, dents, or breaks in finish, two minor scuffs (not thru finish) on lower bout and below bridge. One minor scuff on upper bout, otherwise in excellent cosmetic shape. Only played in church a few times and at home in non-smoking environment. Really!

Mechanically, neck & frets, tuners in perfect shape. Electronics, no issues. This is a very solid and comfortable bass with classic single coil "J"- bass tone.

Last week I was offered $315.00 Cdn (about $235 US) for the bass at a Toronto dealer as a trade-in (70% of retail). They said they would sell it for $450 Cdn. without gig bag. Their guitar tech went over it, tweaked the truss rod a half-turn and pronounced it fine, suitable for sale.

Comes with brand new La Bella M45-B Hard Rockin' Steel (taperwound E & B, .045 - .128) strings installed. Will also include a set of barely-used D'Addario XL170 Medium .050 -.135 strings as well.

Included also is a Voyageur gig-bag. This is probably the best affordable gig-bag on the planet. It is the model that Godin Guitars has licensed for their own basses.

$275.00 US or $370.00 Cdn for the whole bunch. Just got a new Lakland, so one bass has to go!
