Selling my Fender Kingman acoustic bass I bought recently. Very nice acoustic bass that also plugs in. Has a comfortable Jazz bass style neck (thin and 1.5" nut width) which makes it easy to play. Only modification I've done since buying it is sand down the neck to a matte feeling. I've done this many times and it looks professional. Feels much better and doesn't stick to your hands! Strings have a ton of live left (coated). Priced to sell at $300 plus shipping. Will include a new Gator acoustic bass gig bag. Specs from Fender- - Dreadnought body style - Solid spruce top - Laminated mahogany back and sides - Gloss finish on neck and body - Scalloped X bracing - Maple neck - 20-Fret rosewood fingerboard - Block position inlays - Rosewood bridge with compensated bone saddle - Fishman Presys pickup system with active on-board pre-amp and tuner - Fender Jazz Bass headstock and neck profile - Vintage-inspired gold pickguard - "Viking" Fender Bridge with solid rosewood bridge plate - Factory mounted forward strap button with internal block reinforcement
Free bump for an amazing bass! I already own one, but if I didn't I'd probably jump on this. The matte neck mod is a nice touch as well. GLWTS!
String balance was fine. E could get boomy but I always fingered/picked closer to the bridge (over where a bridge pickup would be on a J bass) And this is now SOLD locally.
