Is this the newer 62-lb version, or one of the previous heavier ones?

I regularly lift it all by myself in and out of the back of my minivan trunk well so I'm going to guess it's closer to 60lbs than 70lb but I can't say for certain. Next week I can email Mark @ Accugroove with the serial number and maybe he can tell me for sure.

Just to cut this conversation VERY SHORT. I hate nothing more than seeing every Accugroove thread degrade into talking about the "switch".

    • The switch does NOT magically convert your cab from 4ohm to 8ohm. It's an impossible feat, at least as it was implemented in the Accugroove cabs.
    • The switch on this particular cab is physically disconnected and now REALLY does nothing. However, you can easily reconnect it, it uses a simple plug-in connector on the board attached to the inside of the jack plate.
These cabs SOUND absolutely amazing. Full low end but completely tight and articulate, full range, and without the harsh and usually noisy horns most cabs use. I regularly play bars/clubs without PA support and this single cab has carried my bass without issue.

I'm only selling as I got a great deal on a Mesa Titan stack. Need to sell this cab and my Mesa Big Block to repay for the Titan stack.

I'd be willing to deal somewhat for anyone that wants both the head and the cab.

Not understanding "the switch" thing - does it now run at 4 ohms?

Forget you even see the "switch". It's a 4ohm 800 watt cabinet.

No kidding. You can't have a normal conversation about Accugroove cabs. Lasts about 5 posts before it degrades into questions about the stupid switch.

  12. how old is the cab?

I'm not the original owner so I cannot say. But the original models had the switch as well as L-pads on the back to control the mid/highs (I believe that's what they did). The most current models look identical to mine but without the switch. So I'm going to guess this one is a couple years old. I've been happily using it for both practices and gigs for 6+ months, it replaced some seriously back breaking, 410 and 810 Peavey TX cabs.

I've emailed Mark @ Accugroove asking the age, specific drivers, and factory weight of this specific cab. I'll post the details when he replies.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I was hoping - butt kicking 4 ohm cab.
