    Hi Guyz :)

Since I have my Elrick platinum 5 I don't use those 2 basses anymore so they're up for sale.

    first :

    Bossa OB5
body : alder (not sure about it tough)
    maple neck / fingerboard
    Bossa p.u and preamp
    gold hardware
    natural finish

This bass is used but it plays and sounds very very well.

for more infos and specs please check out :

    http://www.bossa-usa.com/

    Second :

    Schack Carbon 5 headless
    one piece walnut body
    carbon neck
    phenolic fingerboard
    preamp Schack
    P.U basstec
    Schack Bridge

german made by the luthier ANdy shack

it's exactly the same concept that Status S2 basses but IMO the neck is way more comfortable .

    Price :

Bossa OB5 : 1100 dollars (shipping included anywhere in USA/Canada/Europe) . new it would costs 2400 us dollars

Schack : 1500 us dollars (shipping included too). new it would be 2000 euros (around 2400 dollars)

I would like to trade one of those for a MIA fender jazz deluxe 5, or both for a Roscoe or an Elrick.

If you have another bass to offer for trade, please feel free to let me know.

Pics are coming tomorrow (it will be better with the daylight)

    thanks for reading

    Lionel

there"s 2 little "problem" about this bass : p.U's cover and fingerboard are a little grey coloured. maybe because of fingers marks , I don't know, but we can't see that on pics (it's clearly noticeable when you get the bass in front of you)

I dig the Shack, but I am not comfortable with the 35" scale...

    ok sir;)

I think (imo) that if you want a clear, well defined low b on a headless bass it's hard to avoid the 35" scale, tough.

I agree with you but my wrist is the one complaining!

Do you find that the headless design is easier or the same to play as a standard 35" scale?

headless or headed, it's exactly the same feeling for me. :smug:

I really appreciate this schack because of the comfortable neck, the clear tone and the fact that you can tour all around the world (from Africa to alaska :D ) the neck won't never move !

    Lionel,
Going to take a wild guess...Sounds like you really like that new Elrick Plat.5 of yours ! :D

  12. Lionel, I know you've made a lot of soundclips with your (so many:smug: ) differents basses.
Do you have some with these two basses???
If not, how would you describe OB5's sound?
    Thanks !

Hey Bill ! I'm fully satisfied with the Elrick, that's why I sell/trade my other 5ers. what a great instrument ! thank you again for that wonderful bass !

By the way how goes our zia replacement neck's story ? please keep me informed when you'll get news by email or pm ;) can't wait to see her with that new look .

    @ Larry :

unfortunately, I don't have no soundclips made with the bossa .what can I say about it ? :p she sounds great, I was very surprised about the preamp so powerful (you can add a lot of lows, meds and high frequency to the nice flat sound). P.U's sound like jazzbass PU's , the global tone can be compared to an overboosted jazz bass :D , you can reach easily a vintage tone or a deep, fat, sound that's perfect to play jazz old funk, r'n'b or reggae.

    I'm sure you'ld like it a lot :p
