    Hi all.

Putting my Brubaker Lexa #9705 up for trade, but if cash is offered, I would probably take that to fund a fretless.. It's a fantastic bass, but I have GAS for a fretless...BAD!

This bass has been around the block. Several TB'ers have owned it, and it formerly belonged to/was built for Jeff Abecrombie of Fuel.

    Pics here

    The specs are:
34" Scale, I believe (I will check tomorrow. It's at my office.)
    Maple neck/Wenge fretboard
Gotoh tuners w/ Hipshot D-tuner on the low E
    Ash body
    Flame maple top
    2-Tek bridge (20mm spacing)
    Lane Poor soapbar pickups
Seymour Duncan STC-3 preamp (Blend, Midrange, Stacked Bass/Treble, Volume p/p "Slap" contour)
    ~9-9.5lbs
    Trans green finish

The tone of this bass is HUGE. It can sound however you want it to with the turn of a knob.

It has some things I want to make everyone aware of.
The volume pot is not functioning properly, it doesn't affect the sound, but you cannot turn the bass down. It is a 10k DPDT push/pull pot. You can get them on ebay for $5 or less.

The neck has some serous discoloration on the back from being well played. I steel wooled the back of the neck and applied several coats of Howard's Feed 'n' Wax, and it is very smooth and easy to play. It feels like the back of the neck is slightly asymmetrical. It feels very nice in the hand.

There is quite a bit of buckle rash on the back by the neck joint. It is all cosmetic, and the front is actually in very good condition. It has some small nics and dings here and there, but nothing major.

The Bass and Treble knobs are too tight on top of each other, and sometimes turning one turns both. Not a big deal, but I don't have a wrench to remove the pots.

Again, this bass plays, feels, sounds, and balances very well.

I'm not in a rush to sell, so no low offers please.

Price would be $1000+shipping. No international shipping. Sorry.

MM Stingray fretless H (3-band and unlined preferred)
MM Sterling fretless H (unlined preferred)

Possibly interested in a Godin A4 Fretless, non synth, or a Carvin AC40 fretless (unlined, dependent on woods though)

PM me with offers or for more info.

    Best,
    Justin
