    first of all here is the thread where I posted all the pics before and after the pup conversion.
    http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/roadworn-jazz-roadworn-p-j-transformation-891298/

    EDIT: new pics below also

    One of the previous owners did some very fine sanding on the back of the headstock which also removed the serial #. I could personally care less but I know some folks really get their panties in a bunch about that. there was actually a thread about it where many people were going off on the previous owner who did it.
    If I can locate the original pick guard and neck J pup I will include it incase anyone wants to convert it back. I am 90% sure I still have them. If you were to convert it back there might be one or two screw holes that are out in the open from the slightly bigger P pick guard.

    I do absolutely love this bass. I am finding though that as awesome of a neck as it has on it I am preferring the J neck on my P bass which is fuller on the back side. This neck is slimmer front to back.
    Other than the P pick guard and the P pup (which is a Fender 62' RI pup btw) Its stock.
    The P pup is in the sweet spot NOT more forward like many P/J conversions. So if just the P pup is on IT IS a P bass. I recorded much of my bands last album with this bass.

    I have either a nice hard case or a Warwick heavy bag that will go with it. Bag has a tear in it and if you really want the bag over the case I will get pics of it to you.
    The condition of the bass is as it was in the link above. However if someone would like current pics for one reason or another I can do that too. Or if you would like specific pics of something that can be done too.
    I really really love this bass. But my 62' RI P bass has become my go to because of the fatter neck. Plus I just started a new project and its not as vintage vibed as my main band and I think I would like to get something a little more visually and sonically suited. I had considered painting this bass black and getting black hardware, which you have to admit would look awesome but then I'm sure someone else would get lots of pleasure out of this bass as it is. Its such a vibey bass. Looks great live too, which I could probably even find live pics if that were something someone needed.

    Now for the other stuff: Price wise for a straight sale I'm going to put it mid what I'm seeing in threads here for other RW basses. I am also not going with any philosophy that because it's modified its worth less $$. So please don't PM me with that crap because I will ignore it. Those of us who love P/J basses would happily buy a fender factory bass like this. Plus its not like it was modded by a ******** cracked out monkey with a flat head screwdriver for a chisel and a hammer like I know most of us have seen at one time or another.

    ***$775 paypal'd and shipped FedEx only and insured. IF someone wants INt'l shipping it might be a possibility. But it would have to be sent in two packages neck and body separate obviously and you would NOT get a case with it. Warwick bag folded up would be your only option. You would pay any additional shipping charges ie: its going to cost you more! Also I would use USPS for Int'l shipping only. I have only sent one bass Int'l to Belgium like this and it arrived fine.

    Trade Value $800-825. Bass trades only( 4 STRING ONLY!!!!) . No exceptions. I can do some cash either way for the right deal. NO P bass width necks.
    Basses I am most interested in

    * USA Cirrus.

    * Warwick thumb

    * Warwick Streamer

    * Modulus Q4

    * Carvin Icon

    * Jazz basses set up for a more modern/punch tone than my vintage style jazz.

    Keep in mind I'm looking for a little more of a punch than my vintage minded bass has and more of a not so vintage look. The USA Cirrus and Warwick's would definitely be my top choices though.

    EDIT: Updated non bass trade bait possibility. I would consider a power amp also plus maybe a cheaper bass. OR a power amp and cash ($475-500) I still need another bass. if you had a Schecter or something that played great and a power amp that fit my needs. Power amp would need to be 2000 watt +. Newer light weight technology, Crown, Crest, QSC, ect... able to do 4 ohm stereo at preferably more than 1000 watts a side ie: be able to power two SVT 810 cabs very loud.
    If you had an amp and bass worth a little more I might throw in cash.

    Also I did locate the original pick guard which is obviously just an aged version of the same tort that's on it now and the neck pup.
    There would definitely be one screw hole exposed if one decided to convert it back to J/J. I will probably remove the P pick guard and slide the J one in there and take a pic just to show that.

    But hurry folks....I'm seriously debating on just getting active pups, pre and keeping this. If I had the cash to grab something else to fit the sound I'm after with this new band this thing would not be up for sale.

    If you are anywhere near Syracuse NY you are welcome to come plug it in.

    Also please see updated non bass trade bait at the bottom of the first post!!!!!

    I re worked the trade bait.

    I would trade for another fender jazz/warmoth jazz ect. If it were set up to play more modern/heavy sounding stuff ie: non vintage pups, heavier bridge(that would be more large gauge string friendly)

    I could easily change tuners, nut, bridge, pups, add a pre, even do a refin. But I really hate to bastardize this great old school bass.

    Here is a pic with the Jazz pick guard slid over the P pup. I said you might see a screw hole. I was mistaken. You will see a sliver of the P pup pocket. But obviously that's only if you convert it back to Jazz.

    Also I'm having issues locating the J pup. As I said I would include them if I could find them. I thought I had it found but it was a crappy bridge J pup from an old peavey forum. I have been looking for it with my wife for the last hour and a haven't located it yet. You see the J pick guard in the pic below. That of course will be included. Even if I were to find the J pup after a sale or trade I will send it to whoever gets it.
    ***** Also just FYI I will remove the Schaller buttons and install regular buttons before shipping. Or if you have your own this I can leave them off if you like. I have about 6 pairs of Schaller locks and only 2 sets of buttons and I'm not going to spend $25 on a new set just for buttons. Unless a trade bass has them on it then I will leave them on. I wanted to mention this because some guys get their undies in a bunch over things like this.
