This beauty is back on the block, for now, as I am trimming my bass collection and another possible deal came up that would require me to get rid of it...

The body of the bass is a stock 2003 American Deluxe Jazz in ash w/ transparent butterscotch finish. The neck is all maple from a 2007 American Deluxe Jazz, which, in my opinion are better necks than the ones from the earlier 2000s. It looks glossy but does not feel sticky at all. Abalone dot inlays make it look even better. Nut was upgraded to graphite by the previous owner. I just had a 2010 newer-model American Deluxe Fender Jazz preamp put in - which includes volume, blend, 3-band EQ, passive tone AND an active-passive on-off switch. The best of all worlds. Pickups are DiMarzio Area Js and they sound amazing. Strings I believe are 45-105 gauge D'Addario. High mass Fender string-through-body bridge.

The condition on everything is very good. There may be some very small dings here and there, but no paint chips that I've found. Small headstock ding. A little paint wear UNDER the jack where it was changed out, but not visible due to the jack plate. Some light pickguard swirling. A little wear on the pickguard at the truss rod notch. There was a small black paint mark at the neck heel from the original black body. I lightly buffed it out with a Scotch brite pad and it's nearly invisible now. Honestly I am a freak about things being in pristine condition and this bass is in great shape. Black Planet Waves Comfort strap and Schaller straplock system included. A couple odd quirks that don't affect anything but are worth mentioning: I noticed the blend pot on the Butterscotch seems to be backwards from a typical Jazz. Also, the active preamp is engaged with the switch pointed away from the neck, and disengaged pointed toward the neck. Both seem counterintuitive, so just a heads up. Could be fixed in 5 minutes by a tech. I think my tech wired it backwards but everything works perfectly so not a huge deal.

The case in the pictures is a custom G&G case that I ordered directly from the G&G factory. It is tweed with gold plush interior and brass hardware. If you prefer a generic molded black Fender case instead, knock $100 off the price.

I'm asking $1150 shipped or best offer... lower 48 only. Probably no trades unless I net a significant chunk of cash but run anything by me.

Talk about being tempted. I already have 3 great players and still considering this as my fourth axe.
