SOLD FS/FT: Jerzy Drozd Mastery 6 Birch/Etimoe/Maple/Wenge - MTD trades?

Hi All,

Okay, here's the deal: I am buying an MTD and need the cash to offset purchase. So before I bond with this beauty, I'm going to offer it for sale or trade.

Recently purchased from fellow TB'er Ivory, This bass is a Jerzy Drozd Mastery 6 - neck through model. On this 35" scale/24 fret bass, the body wood is Etimoe, the top is a beautifully blonde Birch Burl. 5 piece Maple/Wenge neck with Ebony fretboard. The pickups are Jerzy's new proprietary design , covered in Rosewood with matching Rosewood control knobs. The preamp is the Aguilar 3 band. Moderate playwear on the back, it is not mint, but certainly in excellent condition with no egregious issues concerning playability/functionality. Mentioned for full disclosure only - none of it would show in photos.

After I received it from Ivory, I brought it to Eric's Guitar Shop, one of the finest set-up men in Los Angeles, if not all of the country and had him set this JD up to perfection with a new set of Dean Markley SR2000 strings. A perfect match for this bass given Jerzy's bridge which is cut for taperwound strings. Perfect playability and intonation are yours!

Also comes with Zero Gravity Jerzy Drozd custom case and all tools.

I'm looking for only the following:

• MTD USA 535-24 or 635-24 - fretted or fretless, Fender Precision vintage, CS, or Pino Palladino, Alleva Coppolo
• Fine preamps or amplifiers (e.g. Pope, Aguilar, Kern, Glockenklang, Tecamp)
• Hi-end cabs (Bergantino, etc.)
• +/- $$$ either way where applicable

You can try me on other gear, but the above is really what I seek.

Otherwise, I'd prefer to sell this outright. I'll eat CONUSA shipping and Paypal (Intl buyers are fine, but must pay actual shipping fees). Bass is in Westside Los Angeles, so local buyers are welcome, of course (i'm happy to drive an hour or two, if it helps buyer/trader).

Folks, this has been up for two weeks and it's time for me to get aggressive here. Had a couple of offers/trade ideas but nothing has stuck yet...

Don't need basses anymore, but cabs or amps could work in partial trade. really looking for straight $$$, so special consideration given there.

I know times are tough and I'm willing to work with you, but the price is already at "steal me" levels. Still, hit me with any reasonable idea and I'll work with you to make it happen.
