I tried to get into the 5-string and failed. I just don't need the low B. I guess I'm hopelessly old fashioned... I have now fully accepted that I am a 4-string guy.

For trade or sale is one Ken Smith Burner Custom 5, amber over quilt, in very good condition (albeit with a slightly crackly volume knob, and a tiny ding in the bass side edge of the fingerboard). It absolutely plays like butter. Super low action. Straight neck. Ships with a Fender gig bag and new strings.

I am preferably interested in trading for a 4-string by G&L, Musicman, Fender, or Lakland (Skyline).

Or I will sell for $1000 (includes shipping to the lower 48 states)
    I will not ship internationally.

    PM if interested!

What's the spacing on that and what's the weight? That's a damn good looking bass. Man, if I had the cash, I'd be all over this!

I think all Smiths are 34" and still have one of the best B's in the business!

DW,,The Smith Burners are no longer made and they were all made in Japan.
They never sold for 3K even when produced.

My bad. I assumed the current BSR-J's were the same just a new name. They look the same for the most part. Still a nice bass!

Very nice basses, I used to own one, they play like butter, if you like the narrow string spacing, jump on it!:bassist:

Burners were damn sexy, only made in the 90's...

    GREAT axe....

I think they were carved and painted over seas, but electronics put in here... I forget I think the info is on kensmithbasses.com

Its a great bass, worth way more than the price IMHO...
