I have a Peavey Cirrus 5 Claro Walnut with matching headstock that's just not getting any playing time and would rather it was getting played as opposed to just sitting in the case.

I believe I am the second owner of this beauty. It's one of the earlier models with the block logo. When I got it a few years ago it was bone stock. I changed out all of the gold hardware to black, put on new strings and gave it a good cleaning. It's a machine...Beautiful and man can she thump!

This is one of those you don't see come up for sale very often and I don't think they made as many of these as the other wood combinations.

It has been well taken care of and has been played but never abused. It has some light pick scratching on the front but that could most likely be buffed out. there is some slight discoloration under the machine heads on the headstock that was there when I received it.

    - 35" scale

    - Pau ferro fretboard with Cirrus inlay

    - 5-piece neck-thru

    - black hardware

    - 18V 3-band preamp (vol/blend with bass/mid/treble - active)

    - Two graphite reinforcement rods in the neck

    - factory hardshell case included

As far as trades are concerned, I am really only interested in Fender MIA or MIJ 4-string jazz basses with bound and blocked maple fretboards, specifically '75 reissue models. If you have a black AVRI '75, I would love it.

    Price is $1099 shipped CONUS

Awesome bass right there. It's amazing that many still don't know how good a USA Cirrus can be. I've owned two, and would stack them up to many boutiques I paid thousands more for. The finish on this one is stunning, and the black hardware looks so nice!

I must agree. I've owned 2 6ers and they had better action and stiffer necks (a good thing) than my US Laklands.

  14. Beautiful bass. What's the string spacing at the bridge?

    Thanks,

I wish these Cirrus basses had inlays (besides just the "C" at 12.) No, I don't totally rely on inlays to find my way around the board, but they do help at times. It's more I just find the board look so NAKED without 'em...I know that's exactly the point for some people, but I dunno...I have a hard time getting past it...

As far as I can tell, string spacing is 19mm

I may be incorrect, but I think the string spacing is closer to 17.5-18 mm on the 5's. Four's have 19mm, IIRC.

You're right. Just checked it and it looks just shy of 18mm. Thanks!
