    *SOLD*Made in U.S.A., graphite neck 4 string.

All stock except for possibly the strap buttons.

The color is what I think Peavey called Black Pearl or something like that. It's black with little specks of silver that you can see when the light hits it right.

It has one Peavey VFL active pickup - the same pickups used in Peavey's current flagship, the Cirrus. And it has a one piece GOTOH bridge.

Controls are Vol, Treble, Mid, Bass.

The guitar is in mint condition, except for one scratch on the bottom, and a ding on the tip of the headstock.

Comes with a Pro-tec gig bag.

[DEL]$400+shipping.[/DEL] $375 + $25 for shipping in the CONUS, if needed. If you're in Florida or Georgia, there's a good chance I can either deliver it or at least meet you somewhere in the middle.

[DEL]Or, I'd be interested in trading it for a Peavey G-V in black holo-flake, or a B Quad 5, or possibly a Carvin XB75 with piezo pickups, or a Yamaha TRB5 with piezo pickups. Not interested in any other Peaveys or anything that's not a 5-string.[/DEL]

I found the G-V I wanted. Right now, the only trade I would be interested in is for a G&L BABP LE L-2500. Obviously, I'd be throwing some cash into that deal.

I really like this G-Bass, but right after I got it, I found another one that is black holo-flake and jumped on it. I just love that color and don't need 2 G-Basses.

Oh, and yes, I know the strings are not under the string tree on the headstock. It was like that when I got it and I haven't had it long enough to bother fixing it. It plays just fine like it is. :)

I have no feedback here, but I have a long history on eBay. I'm stuartv666 there and have 100% Positive feedback. Though, admittedly, this is my first time ever selling anything online. All my eBay feedback is buying stuff. So, I don't know if that would make anybody feel better or not...

No takers yet. These G's that actually show the carbon fiber weave on the back of the neck can be hard to find. The first few I looked at had the version of the neck that is solid black on the back. I know when I decided to get one of these, I wanted to make sure anybody that looks at it can TELL that it's graphite and not be wondering if it's just wood painted black.

Get it while it's hot! (and still cheap - there's 2 of these on the 'bay that both have starting prices of $495 and I don't think either one comes with a case or anything)

I'm not sure how your supposed to measure nut width.

Measuring outside edge of nut to outside edge, it's 1 1/2".

Measuring center of E string to center of G string, it's 1 1/8".

Weighing on my fancy, schmancy digital bathroom scale, it's 8.5 pounds.

For comparison (and because I'd been meaning to do it anyway), I also weighed 2 others.

MIA Peavey Cirrus 5 Maple - 9.5 pounds.
    MIA G&L L-2500 - 10.25 pounds.

That's a whole lot of USA mojo for the $$! The neck is worth it alone.

I was just thinking this would look killer all stealth'ed out with a black replacement Gotoh bridge and tuners. Hmmmmm...

Yes! And an ebony fretboard with no dots. And black-coated strings.....

But then, I couldn't bring myself to change out the fretboard on a bass this collectible. bridge and tuners could be changed and then changed back easy enough, though.

I do like the Peaveys. I also have a Cirrus 5. And I would really like to find a G-V in black holo-flake, or a B Quad 5.

I didn't know they had other colors of holo-flake. You have a red holo-flake G? I'd like to see pictures of that! Can you really see the multi-color sparkles, or does it just look more like a candy finish?
