I bought this head about 2 years ago and it worked great for that entire time I owned it. During a show about a month ago, it turned off by itself and when I tried turning it back on it stayed on for about 3 seconds before shutting off automatically. I think it's a power issue, but I'm not sure. I recently bought an Eden head, so I'd rather let someone who knows what they're doing fix and enjoy this one.

These amps have a very nice set of features such as a tube and a solid state preamp which can be blended, a variable crossover for biamping, a good EQ section, 2 ohm capability, etc.

    Power Output with DDT™
    Compression Active:
    200 W RMS into 8 ohms
    350 W RMS into 4 ohms
    500 W RMS into 2 ohms

The T-MAX scores very well on the Harmony Central user reviews, here's the link: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Bass+Amp/product/Peavey/T+Max+Head/10/1

I'm selling, but also open to trades. I paid $400, so it seems like a good deal. I doubt repairs would cost anything close to that. Please feel free to ask questions! :)

price drop to $75 shipped. Everything here is intact and likely an easy fix!

Have you taken it to "The Amp Shop" on Haywood Rd. in Asheville to see what it would cost to get it fixed?

Just curious b/c I happen to live in Hendersonville.

I haven't. I have had work done there before, but it usually takes over a month and it's not exactly cheap. Recently I've been getting amp repairs done at another location and am very pleased. I've got my Eden now anyway, so I'd rather let someone else mess around with this one.
