I just got this Tobias Toby Pro 6. It's a great bass, it has a beautiful top and red finish on it. I really don't know what the wood combo is, but it has a wonderful warm, but puncy tone. It will also get pretty bright if you want it to (for slap happy people). It plays well, has really nice low action, and again, I was very surprised at how great the bass sounds. However;... I have other GAS pains... and I'm not sure that I was meant to play 6 strings.

There is a nick in the headstock...it's hard to see from the front, but noticeable from the top/side. I included a pic of it. All the pics are thumbnailed.. so just click on them to enlarge!!!

Shoot me any trade offers.. I never know what I might like ;) . Or, the first $425.00 get's it shipped to thier door as long as they are within the 48 states!!! (paypal included!!)

Oh... comes with original Tobias hard shell case.

The body wings are maple, the neck is maple/wenge, and the fingerboard is rosewood.

I've played one of these and they're darn cool for the money.

Thanks Vic... I thought that's what it was.. but wasn't sure enough to comment.

wzrdofgz: it is MIK. As for the weight, I don'r know. I thought it was a tad heavy... however I am used to my Skjold which is right at 8 pounds...and I've never played a six before. I was using a 2 1/2" wide leather strap, and after an hour or so of practice I decided to sit down and give the old shoulder a rest. I'm sure a wider strap would help a lot...

    If I were to hazard a guess... I'd say it's 11 pounds. But that's just a guess...

I haven't weighed one, but they are heavy to me. I'd GUESS at least 10 pounds. Could be more.

How's the B string sound/feel? Does the bass balance well on a strap? Neck width at 24th fret?
