I have a Yamaha TRB 6 I'm looking to sell. I may trade if the right trade comes along. It has 19mm string spacing. The original owner replaced the gold hardware with black hardware. The bridge is a Hipshot B and the tuners are Gotoh. It have a small ding on the far top of the neck and also on the body. It also has a small hairline crack where the bass pot is. I believe whoever replaced the bass pot tighten it to much and cracked the thin piece of wood a little. It doesn't affect playability. I showed all of this in the pics. Other than that the bass is in great shape. The tone is great. If you want to hear the tone I can pm you my youtube link. It has some great tones but I just want something different. I'll let it go for $1100 with shipping. Don't be afraid to makes some offers though. This price isn't set in stone. For trades I want maybe a MTD Z6 so that I can mod it. I would also consider these basses:

    Warrick Corvette 6
    Ibanez BTB 1206/1306

PRICE DROPPED TO $900 with shipping!! ( Conus only)

  4. Looks like a Hipshot A bridge to me.

Are those piezo saddles that were never hooked up?

I meant Hipshot A. I was thinking that and typed B. But it doesn't have piezo.

  6. TRB-6 or TRB-6II? 34 or 35" scale?

Simply THE TRB6 ,just between the first ones:TRB6-P (neckthrouh and piezzo o bridge) and the last mij:TRB6 II.
by comparison: it's the standart of the first model "Patitucci" edition.
34'' scale and 19mm spacing strings at bridge,bolt-on neck, rosewood f.b.,ash body with a scooped part near and below the neck-joint,same sophisticed preamp as the "Pati." model with a full set-up options into the preamp's cavity, rare and a must!!!

That particular 33 7/8'' scale was made for the first TRB6-P,great knowledge 3NotesAbar! very few people known that!
And finaly, fully & so greatly used on el.b. by the last awesome Dave Carpenter....(rip)
(check out if you will the Mitchel Forman 5tet live album:"Mr.Clean")

the original yamaha pickups are in it now, sounds great,I still have the proprietary pre-amp , I really would love that thing, I'm really after the single coils, and the shorter scale, chords not the easiest with the 35"
I'll throw in a boss oc-3 octave pedal and and a stereo volume pedal
I'll have pics by tommorow, I would really like that thing

Isn't the string spacing on the newer Yamahas smaller? I think they are 17mm. I really would like 18mm or better.

    Bump!

  20. I really dig this translucent finish, Tewest. And the black hardware is really nice on it. I have been working out a lot on my TRB-6. These axes are extremely powerful instruments.

    Bump for a superbad axe.
