    G&L L-2500 bass guitar (GandL)
    Made in America
    Cherry Burst with Matching Headstock
Special ordered neck with maple fretboard with no dot markers
Factory-wired K option (aka Single Coil option)
    Bridge mod*

G&L Black Tolex hardshell case (by G&G), in new condition, included.

Strung with almost new TI Jazz Flats. Or, if you prefer, I think I have some Ernie Ball Power Slinkys with about 5 minutes play time that I can swap onto it.

This bass is immaculate! All the controls work perfectly, with no scratchy pots or anything like that. The "standard" L-2500 has one switch that is 2-position, which switches the pickup coils between Series and Parallel wiring. With the Single Coil option that switch is replaced with a 3-position switch that switches between Series, Parallel, and Single Coil. Adding Single Coil mode makes this bass even more tonally diverse, adding a seriously beefed-up Jazz bass sound to your options.

*Bridge mod: I did the Bridge Mod to this. The bridge mod is to put machine screws and threaded inserts through the bridge string-thru holes. So, the bridge is now attached to the bass with 7 screws, instead of 2. But, you can't string your strings thru-body. I don't like to use string-thru anyway and I do like the extra firm bridge-body coupling.

To be very clear, the bridge mod is not a modification to the bass at all in the sense of modifying anything that is there. You can take a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the 5 screws and inserts they are threaded into and the bass will be back to totally stock.

    L-2500 Bridge Mod

Price was $1200, including the tolex case, shipped to CONUS. Now asking $1000.

    Thanks, TM!

I hate to let it go. Seriously! But, I'm moving next month from CA to VA and I gotta pay for the move myself somehow... :-(

Is it the Tribute in your sig? Tributes are awesome, but you know you secretly want to replace it with a MIA... ;-)

Thanks for the trade offers, but I am only considering an outright sale. If I didn't need the cash to help pay for my move, I would not be selling this bass at all and definitely nothing I would trade it for.

I'm moving at the end of July. If it doesn't sell by then, I'll just keep it!

I spent a little quality time with this baby over the weekend and decided there is no way I'm selling this! Then, I put it down and got back to work on preparing for my upcoming move in a month and realized I really should sell it because I need the cash badly.

So, I compromised on leaving it up for sale, and if somebody is willing to pay the asking price (which is a premium price - but this is a premium bass), then I'll let it go. Otherwise, I'll be happy to get to keep it. :)

I never sold the bass. I moved - currently in Manassas, VA. I have played this bass 2 or 3 times in the last 2+ years. I am exclusively playing 6 strings now, and I want a new one (6-string).

So, this baby is back on the block.
