FS: Italia Modulo Bass

Discussion in 'For Sale: Bass Guitars' started by Lokire, Nov 21, 2005.

  1. Ok, I'm putting this up for sale because now that I have two custom basses, I just don't play this one at all (though it does look great hanging on the wall  )

This bass, is all about the looks, and it definatly attracts attention in a big way. The finish is some kind of super sparkely, pearloid looking material with a sparkley greyish/black pickgaurd. The tuning heads are also a pearloid looking plastic material. Chrome bridge and bridge cover with 4 vertical lipstick pickups. The back of the body is covered in a faux aligator skin material. It's pretty classy looker.

The sound is decent. Not bad but nothing that really excites me either. Maybe I'm just too spoiled by high-end basses :p . Kind of a P-Bass(ish) tone. Real punchy. It plays pretty well - fairly low action with no buzz. It's in great condition. The only thing worth noting is a couple tiny cracks in a couple of the tuning heads. If there's any interest I can record a couple soundclips tommorrow.

(I had the bridge cover off when I took those - it's included)

Down to $220 shipped to the US :) (SOLD)

    Cheers :bassist:

would you consider shipping the bass to italy?
it's not joke... i live in italy.
  3. I would ship to Italy as long as you're willing to pay the full shipping costs, which probably wouldn't be cheap.

But right now the bass is being considered by another potential buyer. If that doesn't work out, you're next in line ;)

    Here's a soundclip btw:

Starts with the tone knob all the way up and then later on I turn it all the way down and play some more, then back up.

That is a crazy-looking bass. But from the sound of the mp3 clip you offer, I think you could make any bass sound good, so, I am a skeptic of this sucker.
  5. Haha, thanks. I guess that's true to some degree - the tone is in your fingers ya know :p

I recorded the clip straight DI to the board, no EQ or effects or anything if that's of any consolation.

Here's a song I recorded with the bass almost 2 years ago, right after I got it (the only full song I ever recorded with it). If I remember correctly it was played with fresh strings and a pick

Yikes, lol, a Metallica rip off. The bass sounds much more live in this one. Some bite on it.

It seems more of the novelty that is attracting me to her.
  8. Now open to trades as well.

I'm specifically looking for a Sansamp PSA/RBI, POD XT (guitar version), Berg or Epi 1x10 or 1x12. Other than that, I dunno. Throw it at me and we'll see :)

if it were not for shiping duties and taxes... i would have bought..
  17. Alright - I've got my eye on a cetain bass, and I need a bit of extra money for it soon...

So for the next two days only, the Italia is $220 shipped, and that includes a brand new HSC that I'll buy for it since the one I had shipped with my Elrick today. This is about half the price of a new one ;)
