I think this is the last bass I'll need to sell for a while, and while it pains me, I seem to be gravitating toward p bass width necks.
Probably not the most well known name, but Jack Read was a luthier/bass builder in Mass. and I believe now works for Bose (I think he built some nice preamps as well). On to the bass:
2004 custom P bass- mint, with the exception of a tiny ding on the top of the headstock, than I managed to put in:rollno:.
-Jazz style neck- finish feels like a music man- fast, comfortable and a pleasure to play.
-Pickup is an Aero split P- vintage sound with some bite.
-Also has the "S-1" switch for parallel/series
-Weighs between 8.5 and 9 lbs
Obviously I'm trying to sell the bass, but I've had Lakland DD's and MIA P's, and this slays them all. Nicest neck I think I've played on any J/P bass of any make.

Beautiful, flawless neck- feel of a SR, with a width (fretboard to back of neck) like a Fender Geddy Lee or Lakland JO.
Only selling because a jazz seems to fit my band needs better.
