Last Friday night - oh, that was me....

As for the "or something," I do festivals, church gigs, and pit band for professional musical theater too.

The country band I left can't figure out why their originals don't sound the same anymore with any of the people that they get to play bass. I told them to find a bassist that plays a 6 string fretless - they can't.

A sixer add much more versatility to your professional potential. But if you like playing in bars for $80 a gig and drinkin' some beers or checkin' out hotties every week, then a four or five banger will do ya....

As for the quote....man, you need to come to Philly! So many amazing bassists in this city, and I frequently see 5 and 6 string players in bars and clubs around here.
