Well, this is my last "extra" bass to sell off - leaving me with only my two trusty Sadowskys. I had said after the new baby was born that I was going to keep only the neccessities.
I also gave myself a year to see how my fretless playing developed. It's definitely come a long way, but I'm ok admitting that I'm just more comfortable as a fretted player. ;)

I had this fantastic Kinal Kompact acoustic/electric fretless built just one year ago. I've got to give credit to fellow TB'er Lokire for his influence in my choice of the Kinal after speaking with him and seeing his videos of him with his Kinal Kompact bass.
Check out the Kompact fretless in action for yourself

This bass is an absolute blast to play and don't let the small size fool you, it's not a toy - it's got some volume! I very rarely needed to plug into an amp for practicing at home, even if I was playing along with music.

Mike's craftsmanship is top notch. From the simple yet elegant spruce top, the ebony fretboard that extends to the soundhole, the wooden bridge, the stunning curly maple back, to the subtle piece of spalted maple on the back of the headstock where the serial number is, everything is just classy. The built-in tuner on the preamp is a nice touch too.

I have played this bass, and it is a thing of beauty. It almost made me want to try and become a competent fretless player. If I had the time to put into playing it...

Man, If I didn't have a Rob Allen Mouse on the way, I'd snap this up in a heartbeat. These instruments look very inviting to play and they sound amazing. Best of luck.

  4. Nice grain on that spruce! If I may shamelessly self-promote...

Another couple videos of my Kompact 4, showing off the pure acoustic tone. These basses are just FUN to play, and always sound great. Good luck with the sale!

Alright for seeing some Kinal action on the site again. My Kinal was the best bass I've ever owned and I regret selling it everyday! Good luck with the sale.

For those that are a bit nervous about trying out a fretless, don't be scared off by this bass. The lined board make a huge difference and it's just so easy to play, you just can't help but improve quickly from playing It so often!

+1 for short-scale fretless basses being easy, and FUN-FUN-FUN to play.

    PMs replied to.
A couple offers on the table, but I believe the fair way is that until someone fully commits to their offer, the bass is still available.

    Thanks
