    Now with pics.
Short scale flying V style, with aluminum neck.
    Made in USA.
80/81 I think thats the only years they made them.
Looks like a dark maroon to me.

    It's in pretty good shape.
No tuners, nut, pickup, saddles, electronics plate.
Just the neck and the body.

I traded $300 in gear for it. I was going to get it up and running and flip it... But of course gas has gotten the best of me, and it needs to go.

$250 shipped conus. Make an offer! SOLD

I know this one has been heavily modded but is this the one you're talking about?

I'm thinking short scale modded to an 8 string!
(why am I even thinking about this when I already have too many projects?)
How many frets and is the scale length 30"?

So it's neck (no nut) and body (just the bridge plate no saddles)
But does it have the plate and bolts?

The neck is attached, it has the plate and bolts.
    Pics up.
I could probably rob the tuners and saddles off of my broken yamaha...

I'll have to put an other strap button in and see what happens.
I wonder what this would sound like with a Dark Star... hmmm

    Now you're just baiting folks.
The kramer alumineck I had was pretty balanced I guess it's just I'm hoping the body wood is heavy because a V can be challenge.
I'd say if the body is a attached at the fulcrum does it balance?

The body is heavy, but not heavy enough. It's a little neck heavy. It isnt flying to the floor like a few basses I've had. If you were to reposition the strap botton on the back horn, or use a real strap(I use cheapies). It would be perfect.

I would think anyone buying this bass would have a strap made of bullet belts and animal skin so that shouldn't be a problem and if you put in heavy pickups and a kahler trem then you're set!

Plus this is a perfect candidate for the Steinberger strap hook extender.
